The exhibition for the fortieth anniversary of the death of Maria Callas intends to tell the singer’s artistic life at Scala. A theater that, between 1950 and 1961, has been able to provide the cultural instruments that have turned the singer into a myth. The story that connets the costumes is divided between the shows that Callas has played and the most important artistic meetings of her career. On one hand, the story of Callas at Scala must go through her most important interpretations, recalled by quotes from the press review of then. On the other hand, it is important to emphasize the role of this theater as a research lab for the singer, thanks to an influences of places such as the Scala Museum and people like Luchino Visconti, Nicola Benois, Tullio Serafin and Franco Zeffirelli.
