Giorgio Strehler at La Scala
Giorgio Strehler at La Scala
For the 100th anniversary of Giorgio Strehler's birth, the Scala's Theatrical Museum has created an exhibition with two souls: a physical one, set up in the rooms of the Livia Simoni Library and curated by Vittoria Crespi Morbio, dedicated to the stage spaces that Strehler conceived with his set designers, in particular Gianni Ratto, Luciano Damiani and Ezio Frigerio, and a virtual one, developed by the Punto Rec studio in Turin and curated by Franco Pulcini, who has put in writing an account of Strehler's La Scala experiences by also using several quotes from the director.
Two voices will take turns in this seven-scene theatrical tale: the baritone, actor and dicrector Luca Micheletti, recently appreciated as Figaro for the revival of Strehler's Marriage, and actress Andrea Jonasson, Zeffirelli's wife and extraordinary performer of some legendary shows at the Piccolo Teatro and beyond, who will interpret her husband's words.
